Because of the interdisciplinary nature of our program, courses comprising the Latin American and Caribbean Studies major and minor are offered through a wide range of departments across the UW campuses. We also have courses each quarter taught by JSIS faculty, which can be found under the prefix/course numbers: JSIS, JSIS A, and JSIS B.

LACS credit can also be earned through study abroad. Numerous study abroad options are available throughout the year, and students are strongly encouraged to research and take advantage of these opportunities. LACS students planning on studying abroad should consult the LACS adviser well before selecting a program or departing to discuss what coursework completed abroad will apply toward the LACS program requirements.
