Description: In this course students develop basic philosophical skills: reading critically, recognizing and responding to lines of reasoning and communicating effectively. Students examine important personal and social philosophical issues with an emphasis on doing philosophy. Sections cover philosophies from different parts of the world and different time periods, including ancient Greece and contemporary Europe and Southeast Asia.
