Zehra Khan

Zehra Khan (she/they) completed her Bachelor’s in Fine Art from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in her hometown, Karachi, Pakistan, where she was trained as a traditional printmaker. During her first year at the University of Washington, she was the recipient of the Top Scholar Fellowship, and this year, she is serving as the Graduate and Professional Student Senate (GPSS) Vice President of Equity and Inclusion. Her research focuses on voluntary and forced migration studies, specifically the material lives of South Asian diasporas in the United States. Zehra has worked as a journalist and writer for the World Bank and continues to write for the prestigious Himal Southasian. In her free time, she tears her way through literary fiction.
