Randi Hedin
About
Randi Hedin teaches the Global Development Law and Policy Workshop and is a 2014 graduate of the Sustainable International Development LL.M. Program at the University of Washington (UW) School of Law. Since 2009, Randi has been a member of the national Board of Directors of buildOn, an NGO whose mission is to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and low expectations through service and education, and serves on its Governance Committee. She has traveled to Mali, Malawi, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Nepal, Haiti, and Nicaragua to help build primary schools. Since 2017, Ms. Hedin has been a member of the Board of Directors of Heifer International, an NGO whose mission is to eliminate poverty and hunger while caring for the Earth. She serves on its Audit Committee. Heifer works in 20 countries around the world. Ms. Hedin has traveled to Senegal (2016) and to Nepal (2018) to assess the impact of the work being done by Heifer in some of the communities. Ms. Hedin’s class has been partnering with Heifer for three years researching issues associated with its Accelerate program.
