I am a Fulbright scholar from Pakistan. I earned my bachelor’s degree in social sciences and liberal arts from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Karachi in 2018, during which my research focused on oral histories of Muslim women, as I studied the intersections of citizenship, migration, identities and bureaucratic violence in a post-Partition context. Other than Partition studies, I am interested in learning more about travel writing in South Asia, and histories of the Deccan. Prior to graduate school, I translated a Hajj travelogue into English while teaching middle-school students in Karachi. I am passionate about writing, poetry, and baking.
