Center for West European Studies & The EU Center
Visiting EU Fellow Jürgen Salay
The Center for West European Studies (CWES), founded in 1994, is one of eleven federally funded National Resource Centers for European or West European Studies in the United States. Our mission is to enhance the quality of teaching and research on West European politics, society, and culture through outreach to universities, community colleges, business, the general public, and the K-12 community.
The EU Center (EUC) at the University of Washington has developed, since 1998, a well-earned reputation for implementing innovative teaching, outreach, and research programs in the study of the EU, its institutions and policies, and EU-US relations. The Center is funded by the European Commission’s Jean Monnet Project and Chair grants.
