Associate Professor of Art History and South Asia Center affiliate Sonal Khullar traveled to London this week to deliver a lecture at the Association for Art History (AAH) annual conference. Professor Khullar’s paper was titled Seeds of Change, Spectres of Death: Shweta Bhattad’s Faith (2016). The lecture was supported in part by a grant from the South Asia Center.
A version of the paper, re-titled Artist as Fieldworker, will be published in the Lahore Biennale Reader in Urdu and English in 2019. The AAH paper is part of professor Khullar’s new book project The Art of Dislocation: Conflict and Collaboration in Contemporary Art from South Asia.
The Whole U covered professor Khullar’s work in a Faculty Friday feature. Find the article here.
