Aseem Prakash, an affiliate of the South Asia Center and a professor in the Department of Political Science, was recently elected to the Washington State Academy of Sciences (WSAS). Prakash’s work focuses on environmental policy, climate governance, NGOs and non-profits, and voluntary/private regulation.
He is one of 15 faculty members from the University of Washington who was named a member. “We look forward to tapping their expertise and knowledge to advance the Academy’s mission of science in the service of Washington State,” WSAS president John Roll said in a statement regarding the new members.
