About
I am currently a Ph.D student in political science at the University of Washington. Broadly, my research focuses on Race and Ethnic Politics, Political Behavior, Environmental Politics, and Quantitative Methodology.Specifically, my research examines how people of color in the U.S. conceptualize the environment and act upon environmental preferences and threats. I take on the topics of power, privilege, identity, and agency to investigate whose voices are heard, whose are left out, and how we can create a more diverse and equitable environmental/ conservation movement. By linking historical context, current public opinion and social/cultural identities, I modify our understandings of how and why people of color participate in environmental and conservation efforts in slightly different methods than their white counterparts.
