Jackson School Assistant Professor Vanessa Freije has won the Latin American Studies Association Mexico Dissertation Prize and the Margaret A. Blanchard Dissertation Prize, the latter for which is awarded by the American Journalism Historians Association for the best dissertation on mass communication history.
