Los retos de “la caravana” – On Friday Dec. 7th, 2018 CASA Latina hosted an event in Spanish that addressed the refugee’s situation from Central America trekking north to the U.S. The panel featured Jackson School faculty, testimonials from those with connections to Central America. Panelists included Ingrid Chapman (Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network), Vanesa Freije ( UW Latin American and Caribbean Studies professor), and Jose Antonio Lucero (UW, Chair, Latin American and Caribbean Studies professor).
