In the NACLA Report on the Americas, one of the premier sites for in-depth reporting and analysis on the Americas regions that serves as a bridge between academic researchers and the public, Jackson faculty Vanessa Freije and Daniel Bessner co-edit the March 2020 issue titled “A People’s Policy for the Americas,” with contributions by Jackson School Latin American & Caribbean Studies faculty Angelina Godoy and Tony Lucero, Ileana Rodríguez-Silva, and LACS-affiliated graduate student Yolanda Valencia.
As co-editors of the March issue, Bessner and Freije explore what a peoples’ policy for the Americas might look like, and hope to encourage a broader democratization of U.S. foreign policy.
