We are pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s Latin American and Caribbean Studies graduate travel awards:
- Fatemeh Hosseinzadeh (Ph.D., International Studies)
- Yasmine Gómez (Ph.D., Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies)
- Alexis Smith (Ph.D., Hispanic Studies)
With LACS grants, awardees will attend conferences and conduct research in Mexico City, Bogotá, and Toronto, respectively. This year’s Peter T. Johnson Fund for Latin American and Caribbean Studies will support study abroad trips to Brazil for undergraduate awardees Mariana Acuña-Garibay, Ashley Gomez, and Nathalie Villanueva and a research trip to Sevilla for graduate awardee Sebastián Blas.
