REECAS NW Past Conferences

REECAS Northwest, the ASEEES annual northwest regional conference for Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies, welcomes faculty, students, and researchers from institutions of higher learning throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well as K-12 educators and the general public.

Established in 1994, REECAS Northwest is an official ASEEES regional affiliate conference as designated by the ASEEES Board of Directors.

REECAS Northwest is the premier annual West Coast conference for scholars, students and practitioners to present research on Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The conference is organized by the University of Washington’s Ellison Center for Russian East European and Central Asian Studies with support from multiple Pacific Northwest universities, including most recently Reed College, the University of Puget Sound, Portland State University, and Evergreen State College. The REECAS Northwest Conference is also pleased to welcome scholars and students from Canadian and European universities every year.
