Jackson School Professor Saadia Pekkanen, an outer space expert, was featured in last week’s Forbes “Editor’s Pick” for her article on China’s recent launch of a quantum communications satellite.
The new satellite was designed to help China develop long-distance quantum communication that secures corporate and government information, ultrafast quantum computers, and whole quantum networks.
Pekkanen argues that though it may be hard for Western and more established competitors to accept, China has an unquestionable lead at this stage.
