SEAxSEA Film Festival
2020 Edition
The many issues the Southeast Asia region faces today may initially seem isolated and disparate. But if we look close enough, we may find that they are deeply connected with each other, as if they were many heads of the same entity. What does it mean to be a woman and refugee at a time of ecological crisis? How does modernity and development impact traditional community practices? Only when we envision the “many-headed” nature of this demon can we deign to start thinking of ways forward.
