Resources at UW
Southeast Asia Section at the UW Librares
The best place to start your research is the Southeast Asia Section of the University of Washington Libraries. Librarian Judith Henchy maintains an excellent set of research guides and subject guides, as well as links to web resources that you can access when logged in through the University of Washington.
Burke Museum Ethnology Department
Another great on-campus resource is the Burke Museum’s ethnographic collections, which focus on Pacific Rim cultures. Their Ethnology Collections Database is available online, and searchable by region. It includes over 5,000 objects from Southeast Asia.
Language Instruction
Southeast Asian languages offered on a regular basis by the University of Washington include Burmese, Indonesian, Khmer, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese. Visit our language instruction page to learn more.
