In her article “Reading the rabbis in the age of #MeToo,” Mika Ahuvia, Marsha and Jay Glazer Endowed Chair in Jewish Studies and Assistant Professor in the Jackson School of International Studies, offers an analysis of the treatment of women in the Talmud and four strategies for teachers and readers of difficult ancient text to consider in light of the #MeToo movement.
Ahuvia recently wrote another piece on “Analogies of violence in Rabbinic literature,” also published in the Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion.
