May 14th, 2024. This report sheds light on and defines threats to women’s safety, and defines clear expectations for Member States’ role in ensuring comprehensive support and protection to victims of gender-based violence. 

Published January 27th, 2023. This report includes data on femicide rates in Europe and highlights the lack of comprehensive institutional responses  to femicide, including recommendations for national policy reform. 

Published February 21st, 2024. This report addresses conflict-related sexual violence against women and girls in the war on Ukraine, with a focus on accessing sexual and reproductive healthcare in the conflict. The report concludes with recommendations for EU institutions.  

Published December 15th, 2023. This report provides access to legal texts and proposals regulating gender recognition procedures across Europe. It aims to evaluate the strength and validity of existing gender recognition policy, and provides recommendations for the future.

This report develops a measure for violence against women using concrete definitions of rape, femicide, and intimate partner violence.

This study has three main objectives: 1) providing an overview of progress in the area of violence against women; 2) expressing the current status of the ratification/implementation of the Istanbul Convention in member states; and 3) analysing EU accession to the Istanbul Convention and its consequences.
