Portuguese 105: Summer Class for Spanish Speakers

Did you know, if you speak Spanish you can understand more than 50% of Portuguese texts without any previous knowledge?

Portuguese 105 is an accelerated class for Spanish speakers, which focuses on the similarities and differences between Portuguese and Spanish.

Prerequisites: SPAN 203 or SPAN 126; or SPAN 301, 302, 303, 314, 316, any of which can be taken concurrently. Native speakers of Spanish are also welcome.

Course Highlights:

  • One year of language classes in one summer (PORT 105 and PORT 201)
  •  Communicative approach in class.
  •  Use of podcasts of Portuguese for Spanish Speakers.
  • Conversation sessions in The Portuguese Seattle Meetup group.
