In March 2024, Jackson School Lecturer Nektaria Klapaki spent one week at University of California, Berkeley as a Nikos Kazantzakis Visiting Scholar. As part of the program Klapaki conducted research and seminars, as well as delivering the annual Nikos Kazantzakis Lecture.

Furthermore, she participated in a special session for the Journal of Modern Greek Studies (JMGS) called “Present and Future” organized through the biennial Modern Greek Studies Association Symposium held from Oct. 17-20, 2024 at Princeton University. Klapaki later concluded six years of service as the Arts & Humanities Associate Editor for the JMGS later that year.
