Thursday, March 15 | 6:30 PM | Ballard Pizza Co.
This event is a special edition of the Young Professionals International Network (YPIN) global affairs discussion series, Global Cafe, and is being held in partnership with the Center for Western and European Studies and the European Union Center at the University of Washington. Featuring Dr. Jürgen Salay, European climate policy expert and current fellow at the center, the Global Cafe will also host Susan Wickwire (Executive Director of the Seattle 2030 District) and Chris Page (current consultant and former Global Director, Energy and Sustainability Strategy at Yahoo! and Director of Energy and Environment at Amazon).
This will be a casual event with up to 25 participants from the community and a small cohort of experts. The event will be located at the Ballard Pizza Co. on March 15th, starting at 6:30 for meeting/greeting followed by the guided discussion from 7-9pm.
We will discuss climate action on the international, national, and local levels across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Our goal with this event is to bring multiple voices and stakeholders working on climate issues to the table to dialogue with the community about where we are and where we need to go.
