Last month, Ernesto traveled to the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, for the 28th annual Rachel Carson Forum. Other panelists included Michael Tuncap, Co-Founder of the Pacific Islander Studies Institute of Washington and Environmental Engineer Lauren Ross.

“I learned so much from Dr. Ross,” Ernesto recalled. “The real problems facing many communities in America around water are reflected across Europe, and working directly with water management and global fisheries policy, I have gained a perspective that I really find interesting and critical.”
