Interested in European affairs and/or transatlantic relations? Looking for leadership and event planning experience? Join European Horizons at the University of Washington – a chapter of a student-led, nonpartisan think tank headquartered at Yale University. Our chapter at UW plans events and programs on campus about Europe and connects students to academic, professional, funding, and networking opportunities uniquely made possible through European Horizons.
European Horizons is devoted to exploring the meaning of European identity, modernizing and reforming the concept of the social market economy, advancing the cause of European integration, and deepening transatlantic relations. To this end, European Horizons has established a network of students, professors, and European decision-makers, with links to academia, politics, civil society, and business. Together, we will engage in a constructive dialogue that will propound a platform of ideas for reforming the European Union and setting a policy vision for its future.
European Horizons convenes an annual fully-funded European Student Conference at Yale University, hosts a Fall Policy Convention in New York and a Spring Policy Forum in Washington D.C., spearheads research projects across the U.S. in partnership with EU institutions, publishes research and policy papers through its academic journal, The Review of European and Transatlantic Affairs, and maintains chapters across universities in the United States and Europe.
