Belgian Ambassador Johan Verbeke Visits the UW

Belgian Ambassador Johan Verbeke joined us on Monday April 18th and gave an exciting talk on the state of international politics. The Ambassador dove into international relations theory in explaining the changing nature of today’s international system, and then went on to discuss some of the problems in contemporary Europe such as the financial crisis, the refugee crisis, and terrorism. The talk brought in a variety of attendees, including UW faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and members of the local community.
