EU Policy Forum Educator Workshop

DSCF2472

The EU Policy Forum for Educators, started in 1999, is an annual, day-long policy forum for K-14 educators organized by the Center for European Studies. Each summer, the workshop series involves approximately 20 K-14 educators in addressing contemporary European and transatlantic issues. The EU Policy for Educators is funded by the Erasmus+ Program and co-organized by the European Union Center, a Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at the University of Washington.

The annual EU Policy Forum for Educators is held in August, and is an excellent opportunity for middle school, high school, and community college educators to learn about the events and challenges facing Europe today. The workshop provides K-14 educators with training and curriculum materials to address these themes in their classes. More than 300 educators have participated over the course of the last 15 years.

Past workshop themes have included the challenges of globalization, the future of the EU, European security and defense, COVID-19 in Europe, and Green Europe.
