Investor, philanthropist and New York Times best-selling author Ray Dalio will talk to audiences in Seattle and 100+ locations across the United States during the 14th annual CHINA Town Hall on November 10, 2020 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm PST.

Seattle University and the University of Washington will join audiences across the country for the program, which will launch a week of events on the most critical topics facing both countries and the global community in the 21st century. These programs will feature leading experts, and at select venues will include in-depth discussions on aspects of the U.S.-China relationship of interest to the local community. This unique series will provide access to experts and opportunities for insightful discussion on how America will navigate relations with China in an increasingly complex global context.

The two-part event, sponsored by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, Seattle University, and the University of Washington will feature an interactive webcast discussion and Q&A with Ray Dalio about the key issues, risks, and opportunities in the Sino-American relationship.

Frictions between the United States and China in politics, security, and trade have a direct impact on the lives of every American. The CHINA Town Hall will help audiences in Seattle and around the country understand the challenges and opportunities of what has been characterized as the most important bilateral relationship of the 21st century.

Interactive Webcast Discussion — Ray Dalio and his family have been deeply involved in business and philanthropic efforts in China for 35 years, and we are pleased he will kick off this year’s nationwide CHINA Town Hall event. In addition, each of our local partner organizations around the country will convene an accompanying town hall conversation to delve deeper into the issues and concerns of their local community.
