Mary Bernson, Director of the EARC, Retires

Mary Bernson, longtime director of the Jackson School’s East Asia Resource Center and former president of the Japan-America Society in Washington state, has retired. Earlier this year, Ms. Bernson was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette, one of the most prestigious awards bestowed by the Japanese government on behalf of his Highness the Emperor of Japan. A retirement reception was held in late October.
