Sara Curran, Jackson School professor and director of the Center for Studies in Demography & Ecology, is quoted in an article titled, “Why WA leaders say U.S. should change its race, ethnicity categories,” on the evolution of U.S. federal collection and presentation of data about race and ethnicity, and the current push to update it.
One of Curran’s quotes in the Seattle Times also appeared in a March 17 Black Enterprise article titled, “United States government in talks to update the nation’s race and ethnic categories.”
