Two Jackson School faculty, Sara Curran, professor and director of the Center for Studies in Demography & Ecology and Jessica Beyer, a lecturer and cybersecurity research scientist, are researching demographic and social disparities in responses to COVID-19 information and dis/misinformation, thanks to a National Science Foundation RAPID grant.
The $200,000, one-year grant, awarded in June, is in partnership with Louisiana State University environmental sciences and engineering faculty, for collaborative research on COVID-19 dis/misinformation disparities. The project also includes research assistance from Jackson School undergraduate and graduate students.
