Professor in the Jackson School and Director of Stroum Center for Jewish Studies, Noam Pianko‘s work is cited in an article that argues that the present climate of partisanship in American political culture is the central existential threat to Jews in the country.

Professor Pianko’s prize-winning 2015 book “Jewish Peoplehood: An American Innovation” is cited to highlight the issue of identity among American Jews, and how they gravitated to the terminology of “peoplehood” to hold on to their Jewish identity even while integrating as Americans.
