Comprised of a group of faculty, staff and students, the Jackson School Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee aims to generate opportunities and resources for a more diverse, equitable, and culturally inclusive learning community.
Examples of Jackson School DEI activities in 2021-2022 include:
- Provided fellowship stipends to the two students (one undergraduate and one graduate) serving on the committee
- Completed a student survey on ideas for and feedback on Jackson School DEI initiatives
- Hosted Jackson School students, faculty and staff in a conversation about how the School might create more inclusive learning environments. Participants were invited to read an article by Jackson School Professor Angelina Godoy, based on extensive interviews with her students. Watch the recording
- Participated in the faculty job search to ensure that DEI was part of the recruitment process
