Francis Abugbilla, a Jackson School doctoral candidate in international studies, was selected in September 2021 as a Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation 2021 Emerging Scholar for his dissertation work on post-conflict peace-building in Africa.
His project uses the case of Cote d’Ivoire to interrogate post war reconciliation processes by examining whether perpetrators of war crimes testify honestly in TRC processes, if they could face future prosecution.
