Christian Novetzke
Christian Novetzke has been awarded a Fulbright Nehru Senior Research Grant for Summers 2023 and 2024. The grant, which he also previously received in 2013, will allow him to work on his new book project titled, “A Flower of Fire: Religion, Caste, and Gender in the Political Poetry of Savitribai Phule (1831–1897).
In Jan. 2022, Novetzke was selected for a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship for research for the same book project on Savitrithe Phule.
