In 2014, continuing GRGs partnership with Mircosoft, a team of Jackson School researchers provided a comprehensive overview of the sociopolitical and economic trends in ASEAN countries and the implications of those trends for international cybersecurity. Combining literature review and general best practice guidance with specific language and area expertise, the research team provided three in-depth case studies of Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar. The report itself was presented to Microsoft in a professional briefing and data visualizations were provided to better communicate the research team’s recommendations.
