UW Central Campus
Parking
Visitor parking is available at multiple locations on the University of Washington campus. First time visitors to campus will probably find the UW Central Plaza Garage to be most convenient. The underground garage is accessed from 15th Avenue NE and is located directly under Red Square in front of Suzzallo library. More information about parking at UW is available on the UW Visitor Parking webpage. Note that many UW parking lots require people to pay for parking using the PayByPhone app.
Seattle Transportation
The University of Washington is well connected to SeaTac Airport and Seattle’s downtown via ground transportation.
SoundTransit’s Link light rail U District Station is brand new and located about one block from campus and other University District hotels. Please note that this is NOT THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON STATION, which serves Husky Stadium and is about a mile from the Graduate Hotel. SoundTransit’s Link light rail is by far the fastest way downtown.
Buses also depart for downtown from from 15th Avenue NE in the University District next to the UW campus.
Seattle is additionally served by Uber, Lyft, and taxis.
We do not recommend renting a car unless you plan to take trips outside of Seattle. Most everything you need is within walking distance from your hotel, and parking on the UW campus and downtown can be difficult and expensive.
