Madison Welsh

My name is Madi Welsh and I am currently a junior at the University of Washington studying Law, Societies and Justice and Political Science. I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where I have lived my entire life. I am proud to call Canada home and represent my country here as an international student in the United States! I am honoured to have been chosen to intern with the Consulate General of Canada here in Seattle for this upcoming year; it has been a dream of mine to serve my country politically and this internship gives me the opportunity to start along that path collaborating on economic and political policies and diving into the relationship between Canada and the U.S. My dream career is to be Canada’s representative to the United States in Washington D.C. and I am hopeful that this internship provides me the communication skills and in-depth knowledge on the mutually beneficial relationship between two countries that mean a lot to me.
