Directions and Parking

The JSIS Convocation Ceremony (June 8) is separate from the University Commencement. Campus parking might be unavailable on June 8, we recommend arriving by public transportation.

Please allow sufficient additional time for parking, and walking, (where necessary) – traffic can be very congested on the day of graduation events. We recommend students arrive by 8:15 am. For more information on parking, please visit UW Transportation Services.

Health and Safety Precautions

  • Get vaccinated. Getting fully vaccinated, boosters and staying up to date on vaccines remains the leading COVID-19 prevention strategy. All attendees are highly encouraged to be vaccinated.
  • Stay home if sick. Monitor your health. If you have been instructed to isolate or quarantine, or you have COVID-19 symptom(s) (regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status), you must stay home.
  • Testing before attending Convocation is recommended. Test within 72 hours of Convocation if using a PCR test and test on the day of Convocation if using a rapid antigen test. Testing 3 to 5 days after attending an event is also encouraged.
  • Face coverings are optional but recommended. Bring a face covering in case you need or want one. Limited supplies of face coverings will be available at HUB Ballroom entrances.
    • Face coverings are strongly recommended indoors, especially for those who are higher risk for severe illness or those who have high risk household members.
  • Virtual viewing options are available for those who are unable to attend the event in-person.
