Upajna Sindhu Palepu

Upajna is a pre-law student majoring in Global & Regional Studies and minoring in Data Science. Her academic interests lie in migration and human rights, international security, and global dynamics between high-income and developing countries. Within cybersecurity, she is particularly interested in the proliferation of surveillance technologies and IoT devices, the populations they are used, and the political and corporate interests related to their use. She currently interns for Columbia Legal Services and in the future, hopes to use law to advocate for justice and equitable solutions at the intersection of global affairs, technology, and human rights.
