One of the key issues that is fundamental to human life, yet conspicuously absent from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, is the right to a healthy environment. I believe that the Arctic indigenous peoples’ voices are immensely deserving of recognition, and even more so considering their land’s pivotal role in determining the fate of this earth.
