Isabelle Schlegel (she/her) is a Communications and Events Specialist at the University of Washington Jackson School of International Studies (UW JSIS). Her name is pronounced: IZ-a-Bell SHLAY-gul (rhymes with bagel) 

I like thinking about and studying… folklore, Indigenous knowledge, collective memory, the texture of memory, the politics of archives, memoir writing, historical recurrence, documentary filmmaking, mindfulness and meditation, brain/mind/body connections, neuroplasticity, epigenetics, human biology and evolution, human and animal behavior, artistic expression, photography, ethics…
