About
Christine Lew (she/her) is a fourth-year undergraduate student double majoring in Disability Studies and Psychology, and minoring in American Sign Language. She is a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) and identifies as disabled/Mad/mentally ill. She is currently doing research on ‘disability gain’, or how disabilities can become advantageous in certain contexts. She has worked for 3 years in the ASUW Student Disability Commission, doing advocacy work for disabled students at the University of Washington. Her passions involve the intersections between Mad Studies, Disability Studies, and Psychology, as well as understanding the process of positive identity development for disabled people.
