Cheryl Gordon

Cheryl Gordon, PhD (she/her) is the Assistant Director, Career Engagement & Experiential Learning at the University of Washington Jackson School of International Studies (JSIS) Office of Academic Services (OAS).

Here at JSIS OAS, I…oversee the strategic planning, administration, and enhancement of career readiness programs, including experiential learning courses such as capstones, internships, and skills-based seminars.

I like thinking about and studying…learning theory, cooking, fiber crafts like knitting, my kids…so many different things.

My first year in college… My first year in college, I mastered budgeting skills and discovered that early morning classes and I were not a good match.

Fun facts: I love reading! I usually get through about 130 books a year (thank you, library!). My dog, Ginny, and I help lead trail walks, showing people and their pups how to feel confident exploring the outdoors together.
