About

Arfian Setiaji is pursuing an LL.M. in Sustainable International Development at the University of Washington, School of Law. He obtained his bachelor of law in 2015 from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, with focus on Public International Law. After graduation, he was awarded a LPDP scholarship from the Republic of Indonesia to study at University of Washington. Arfian had several intern experiences at an Indonesian Law Firm, and at the United Nations Development Programme Indonesia. He is now focusing his studies in International Environmental Law, Global Economic Development, and International Business Transaction.

Research Interests: Fishing Rights of the Indigenous People in the Arctic Ocean and the Role of International Organization to Ensure Indigenous Rights in the Arctic Ocean.
