In “Surprises, guises, and gifts: International Strategic Crisis Negotiation Exercise caps off a year in the MAAIS program,” the UW Daily spotlights the Jackson School’s annual capstone course, which this year was on the North Korean nuclear crisis, for students in the M.A. in Applied International Studies program.
In addition to interviews with participants and U.S. Army War College representatives, who partner with the Jackson School for the spring quarter class, Jackson School Professor Robert Pekkanen is quoted and is also featured in this recent UW News Q&A about the capstone. Pekkanen designed the course, which includes a 2-day simulation experience with military, Foreign Service and business leaders.
