Jesús Hidalgo, Jackson School Graduate Adviser and instructor of classes on sports and global affairs, is featured in an article titled, “Soccer on the World Stage,” discussing the many facets of soccer and his course “Sports and Global Affairs” in Perspectives, the University of Washington’s College of Arts and Sciences newsletter.

Hidalgo’s course is part of the Jackson School’s Global Sport Lab, founded in Autumn 2024, that aims to provide students and the public opportunities to learn about global sport and global connections through the expertise of our faculty, staff, guest speakers and community engagements, especially in the run up to the 2026 FIFA’s Men’s World Cup for which six soccer matches will be held in Seattle.
