Israel and Middle East expert and Jackson School Professor Joel Migdal discusses U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent visit to Israel in this interview with KOMO News radio.
Migdal says that the Israelis were overall pleased by the visit but expressed some anxiety particularly following Trump’s meetings with Russian officials last week. He adds that the Palestinians are still getting used to Trump’s diplomatic style but expressed cautious optimism.

In 1993, he received the University of Washington’s Distinguished Teaching Award; in 1994, the Washington State Governor’s Writers Award; in 2006, the Marsha L. Landolt Distinguished Graduate Mentor Award; and, in 2008, the Provost Distinguished Lectureship.
