In recent months, in reviewing documents obtained through FOIA litigation against the Department of Homeland Security, Center researchers have detected a previously-unknown pattern of rights violations against migrants in Washington State. We are seeking a team of researchers to help us understand and document what is happening and propose paths to its resolution. Students interested in participating in this research-for-action project will be interviewed by Professor Godoy in October; selected applicants will be required to sign a project agreement committing to maintaining confidentiality about project details, in keeping with Center for Human Rights practices.
