Global learning in the heat of summer

July 25, 2025

Each summer, while many students take a break from academics, others dive deep into intensive learning through summer courses at the Jackson School. Whether driven by a desire to expand their global understanding, get ahead on credits, or engage in hands-on learning experiences, these students bring unique motivations and goals to their summer studies.

We recently sat down with several Jackson School students who shared what drew them to their courses, what they’ve learned, and how these experiences shaped their academic and professional journeys.

“The Jackson School’s summer courses offer a lot of flexibility to students without compromising on quality. I would highly recommend taking summer classes at the Jackson School to anyone looking to take classes over the summer while balancing other commitments.”

With the guidance of many individuals I interacted with, I decided to step back from active politics and embark on this academic journey.”
