Jackson School doctoral candidates among Fulbright awardees | UW Graduate School

The UW Graduate School has featured Jackson School doctoral candidates Allison Anderson and Rachel Rothenberg for receiving Fulbright Fellowships for 2018-2019.

Allison will be spending nine months in Jordan conducting fieldwork for her dissertation project on understanding if and how information and communication technologies (ICTs) are enabling women to work. She will be affiliated with the Al-Quds Center for Political Studies in Amman during this time.

Rachel will be conducting ethnographic field research in Rajasthan, India, for her dissertation project on conservative middle-class Hindu women’s political involvement in Modi-era India. She plans to conduct interviews, organize and facilitate discussion groups, and analyze the impact of social media during her fieldwork.

Two out of 10 Fulbright recipients at the UW this year are from the Jackson School.
